Touchette Regional Hospital to Sponsor Seniors Health Festival

March 21, 2018

Touchette Regional Hospital announced today that it will sponsor a Seniors Health Festival hosted at the Clyde C. Jordan Senior Citizens Center.  The three-hour long event will be held Wednesday, Mar. 28 at the Clyde C. Jordan Senior Citizens Center, 6755 State Street., in East St. Louis, Ill. The event will occur from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Seniors over the age of 50 who come out to the festival will have an opportunity to receive health screenings and resources as part of Touchette’s Senior’s I.Q. (Improving Quality) Program. No individual will be turned away; all are welcome to attend. Health insurance is not required. Some services will require future scheduled appointments.

“We want to make sure that healthcare is accessible to everyone in the region - that’s our primary goal,” said Felecia Jackson, Community Outreach Specialist. “Holding this festival at the Clyde C. Jordan Senior Citizens Center allows us to reach individuals and provide them with necessary health screenings they may not otherwise have the opportunity to receive.”

The Senior’s I.Q. Program is funded by the Lutheran Foundation of St. Louis offering free aftercare services to the elderly to promote the best quality of life in Madison, St. Clair, and Monroe counties.
