Touchette Regional Hospital (TRH) announced today that its START NOW Program is recruiting individuals to join its team for the Susan G. Komen ‘More Than Pink’ Greater St. Louis Walk. The event will be held Saturday, June 8 in Downtown St. Louis, with the walk beginning at 9:30 a.m.
“Our START NOW program staff is incredibly dedicated toproviding breast cancer education and patient navigation services to men and women in the Metro East,” said Felecia Jackson, community outreach specialist at TRH. “The fight against breast cancer is fierce and ongoing but it’s rewarding when you participate in activities to increase awareness or raise money to help find a cure, and that is what we’re hoping to achieve with our START NOW Team.”
The cost to register and join the START NOW Team for the 2019 Susan G. Komen ‘More Than Pink’ Walk is $25. To join the START NOW team, please call Felecia Jackson at (618) 332-6123 or email her at fjackson@touchette.org. If you can’t make the walk on June 8 but would still like to donate and join the START NOW Team in spirit, you can click here. Select "team" from the drop-down menu, then type "START NOW" in the search.
Jackson adds, “We’re very excited to spread the word about our team and we hope to recruit men, women, and children of all ages. Our START NOW staff is encouraging anyone and everyone to join our team and to walk with us on June 8.”
The START NOW program offers breast health services to women in Madison, St. Clair, and Clinton counties and receives funding from Susan G. Komen Missouri. To learn more about START NOW Breast Cancer Awareness Services, click here.
